  • Spiny Gourd (fagla)-250g
  • 2-3 green chilies, cut lengthwise
  • 1 bowl grated coconut
  • 1 onion (finely chopped)
  • Salt to taste

    Wash and cut the spiny gourds into thin slices

    Take a cooking vessel, add 1 glass of water,and keep on a mud chullhaon a low flame

    Add the sliced spiny gourdand stir

    Stir occasionally and cook with a lid on low heat until the gourd is tender yet retains a slight crunch

    Then, add chopped onion, grated coconut, and green chilies

    Cook for 5-10 min and our‘fagla Bhaji’ is ready to serve hot as a side dish with rice or‘bhakri’
