

Introduction
Pos or ‘Kharvas’ is a unique traditional dish made from colostrum milk (Tender milk). It is the first milk produced by a Cow or Buffalo after giving birthto their calf. This Tender Milk is obtained from cowsduring the first 2-4 days after giving birth. This dish is healthy and rich in nutrition.

- liter fresh Cow’s Colostrum milk (Tender milk)
- 1 cup freshly grated jaggery
- 1 Cup fresh coconut milk
- 2 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp cumin (Jeera)

Mix the freshly collected colostrum milk with jaggery until the jaggery dissolves completely

Add all the other ingredients and mix them very well in the colostrum milk

In a separate vessel, add 2 cups of water and place the bowl of milk mixture in the vessel

Keep a lid above the bowl and vessel and place this vessel on a mud chulha

Cook this mixture on low heat for almost 30 to 40 min.

Once the mixture thickens, remove the vessel from heat and let it cool
